It is with absolute pleasure that I welcome you to Hackness CE Primary School. We are proud to be a small school with big ambitions for our children, with every child valued and supported to learn, grow and flourish, ready for life beyond our rural school. We are a Forest School and believe passionately in giving children regular access to the outdoors and everything our beautiful local area has to offer. Alongside this, we are committed to providing children with the education and experiences they will need to thrive in modern, multicultural Britain.

I am privileged to be Executive Headteacher for both Hackness and its partner school, Wykeham. The partnership between our two schools is well-established and enhances the offer of each individual school: children come together throughout the year, allowing them to nurture friendships that they take with them to secondary school; staff work together to plan exciting learning opportunities and memorable enrichment activities for their classes; and leaders work across both schools to ensure that teaching and learning is of the highest standard for every single child. We are proud to be part of Elevate MAT, a trust that places children at the heart of everything it does to raise aspiration and achievement for all.
